Come experience the cedar glade and barrens habitat for yourself! See management underway to turn portions of a degraded site into a gem. The Natural Areas team uses prescribed fire and mechanical removal to help control invasive species and help the open glades thrive. Join Stewardship Ecologist Murray Gheesling for a short off-trail hike (about 2 miles total) for a tour and talk about plants and the work being done to manage this and other Central Basin State Natural Area sites. The terrain is relatively flat but uneven with some tall vegetation, so boots, pants, water, and bug spray are recommended. There is no restroom at this trailhead
