This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join Seasonal Interpretive Ranger Aubrey to explore the history of the Great Falls Cotton Mill. Participants can view the inside of one of Rock Island’s unique features! The Falls City Cotton Mill made a huge impact on the landscape that would one day become Rock Island State Park. Parking can be found in the Great Falls parking lot that provides access to the Mill and to the Caney Creek River Gorge. Participants are encouraged to understand that the building has not been modernized and does not have a system for heating or cooling. Please dress comfortably. The building is unfortunately not ADA accessible at this time. We recommend that participants wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water. In the event of inclement weather this event will be cancelled. For additional information please view the attached essential eligibility criteria.
