Description: Once Upon a Campfire: Tales, Tricks and Treats!
Location: Roan Mountain State Park
October 31st | 7:45 PM | Communal Cabin Firepit
Pull up a chair and join Ranger Graham by the fire for an evening of stories, laughter, and a little Halloween spookiness! Gather around the crackling campfire as we share tall tales, Appalachian legends, ghostly yarns, and maybe a few ranger misadventures! From mysterious mountain myths to stories that send a shiver down your spine, this relaxed evening of storytelling is the perfect way to celebrate Halloween at Roan Mountain State Park!
Bring your favorite treats, a cozy blanket, and a story or two of your own to share! Whether you come to listen, laugh, or enjoy a little fright, there's something for everyone around the campfire.
Program Details: We will meet at the communal firepit near the upper cabin parking lot at 7:45 PM. This program will last approximately an hour and a half. Participants should wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Blankets or camp chairs, snacks, s'mores supplies, candy, and a warm drink are highly encouraged!
All ages are welcome! The spookiness of our stories will be adjusted based on the ages of those attending, so everyone can enjoy a hauntingly good Halloween night!
