This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join us for guided kayak float around Byrd Lake.
This program is designed for adults and children aged 10 and above who want to learn about the history of Cumberland Mountain while enjoying the evening nature sounds of the lake.
Participants can expect a brief water safety talk before picking out life jackets and a kayak. We will paddle to Byrd Lake where we will pause and talk about the history of Cumberland Mountain. We will then paddle back to the boat dock while taking in the nocturnal sounds of nature.
The program will begin at the Boat Dock at 8:00pm. Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Headlights are also encouraged and recommended.
In the event of inclement weather this program will be cancelled. Those registered will be notified by email.
