Join SIR Lacy for a one-of-a-kind history hayride through the historic Dog Cove area! This guided experience begins at the Beecher Wallace Homestead, where you’ll climb aboard for a scenic ride to the Jimmy Davis Homestead. From there, we’ll set out on a roughly 2-mile roundtrip hike to the Billy Sapp Homestead.
Along the way, you’ll hear stories that bring the past to life, highlighting the families who called Dog Cove home in the late 1800s and early 1900s. We’ll also take time during the hike to explore the natural side of the landscape, including local wildlife and ongoing conservation efforts led by park staff.
This unique adventure offers a rare opportunity to visit all three historic homesteads in the Dog Cove area while experiencing both the cultural and natural history that make this place so special.
