This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
The pawpaw is the largest fruit native to North America, and it has played an important role in our history, so why has it become America's Forgotten Fruit? Join us on National Pawpaw Day to learn more!
Registered guests can check in at the Bluebird Barn anytime between 5:00 and 7:30 PM. You will have an opportunity to watch a video in the barn to learn all about pawpaw trees. Then, you're invited to follow the ADA trail to the island where Ranger Clare will be at the pawpaw patch with treats, crafts, and more. Registered guests will get a chance to forage for pawpaws and take a few home.
Please come prepared to walk approximately 2 miles along a paved path. If we must cancel this program due to weather, you will be notified via email within 4 hours of the intended start time.
