This rugged 8-mile round trip will lead us to the dramatic Virgin Falls, a waterfall that emerges from a cave, and then drops 110 feet into another cave. Scotts Gulf Wilderness State Park and Virgin Falls State Natural Area contain some of the most spectacular examples of Karst Topography you can see above the ground. This trail is rocky, sturdy ankle supporting footwear is a must. Participants need to come prepared with a day pack and lunch, this is a long hike without any easy routes out.
