This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join our Ranger on this fun walk along the shoreline, picking up mussel shells and identifying them. We will discuss their importance to the River ecosystem as well as important characteristics of this fascinating animal!
We will depart the Nature Center and walk along Raptor Ridge for about 0.2 miles and along the paved road to get to the shoreline. We will then walk the shoreline searching for mussels. Please note that the area is a rocky, muddy shoreline.
Please wear sturdy shoes that can get muddy. Boots are preferred.
Total walking distance will be approximately 1.25 miles.
