This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join park staff for an immersive walk in the woods as we explore the fascinating world of fungi! This guided hike is perfect for beginner naturalists or anyone with a sense of curiosity!
Participants can plan to discover the ecological roles of fungi, learn basic identification skills, and deepen their understanding of the natural world. Along the way, participants can plan to encounter a variety of native mushrooms—some edible, some toxic, and many just plain weird. Whether you're hoping to forage, photograph, or simply learn something new, this hike will open your eyes to the hidden life of the forest floor.
This 1-mile hike displays even terrain, but sturdy hiking shoes are required. Feel free to bring plenty of water and snacks.

This program requires one participant in order to be held. In the case of inclement weather, participants will be notified via park staff.
