This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Come out and enjoy beautiful Cherokee Lake on a relaxing morning canoe float! We will paddle for about an hour while looking for wildlife and learning about the history of the lake. We will cover the basics of canoeing, so visitors of all experience levels are welcome.
Please bring water, bug spray, and sun protection, and be prepared to get wet! The cost for this program is $10 per person. Lifejackets, paddles, and canoes will be provided. Each canoe accommodates two people, and canoes will be filled to capacity. If you have questions about bringing children or whether they can participate in your canoe, please email Molly Meyer at molly.meyer@tn.gov before registering.
Plan to be on the water for approximately 1–1.5 hours. This program is weather-dependent and may be canceled in the event of inclement weather. If the program is canceled due to weather, participants will receive a refund.
