Come watch the full moon rise above the high forested ridges! July's full moon is called the "Buck Moon," because Deer antlers are usually fully grown by the time of this moon. Whether or not we spot any bucks, we'll enjoy a fine 2 mile hike through the gathering dusk, and then "toast" the rising moon with a Moon Pie. We'll supply the snacks, you supply the moonlit enthusiasm!
Be sure to come dressed for the weather, and wear good hiking boots. (It's a mostly uphill hike to the view, with some steep and rocky places.) Also be sure to bring a flashlight for the walk back down..
Meet at the big parking lot uphill from Park Headquarters (former pool parking lot).
Be sure to sign up soon - space is limited.
