Join a guided hike on Montgomery Bell State Park’s Overnight Trail, a 10.4-mile loop that traverses forested ridges, creek valleys, and diverse hardwood landscapes. This long-distance day hike offers an immersive backcountry experience while remaining within the park’s trail system.
Participants should be prepared for a full-day hike over natural-surface trails with sustained elevation changes, uneven terrain, and multiple stream crossings. Along the way, we will discuss forest ecology, wildlife habitat, and the park’s conservation history.
Bring plenty of water, food, and appropriate hiking gear. Participants should have prior experience with long hikes and be physically prepared for strenuous activity.
