Description: Mom's Morning Off
Location: Rock Island State Park
Give Mom a well-deserved break and let the kids create something truly special for her! Join us at Rock Island State Park the day before Mother’s Day for a fun and meaningful program designed for kids and their dads, grandparents, or caregivers.
We’ll start with a short nature hike to collect leaves and natural materials. After our hike, kids will head to our craft station to create handmade Mother’s Day cards using the leaves they collected.
Kids will also get the chance to visit our Mother’s Day Video Booth, where they’ll share sweet messages about why they love their moms and what makes them so special. After the event, each family will receive a short keepsake video featuring their child’s message—perfect to share with Mom on Mother’s Day.
This program is a wonderful way for kids to celebrate Mom while enjoying nature, getting creative, and making a heartfelt gift she’ll treasure.
Program includes:
- Short guided nature hike
- Leaf collecting for crafts
- DIY Mother’s Day card making
- A recorded Mother’s Day message video for Mom
Recommended for: kids ages 4–12 with a parent, grandparent, or guardian
