Description: Mindfulness Hike - Self Guided at Gossett Tract
Location: Harpeth River State Park
Mindfulness is an important skill that can provide a host of benefits, both mentally and physically. Practicing mindfulness can be difficult, especially in the busy world we live in today. For this program, are temporarily turning two of our most popular trails into a mindfulness trail that you can walk at your own pace. The trail will be lined with guided prompts to help guide you into a pensive, reflective mindset to help you practice mindfulness.
Journals are welcome and encouraged! Several prompts will include "Journal Actions" that you can use to help guide a mindfulness journal entry while you hike and reflect.
The hike will be 1.5 miles long, beginning at our Story Book Trail, and encompassing our Lower Loop trial, ending at a picnic area. This picnic area is perfect for continued journaling, lunch, and accessing the river. The hiking terrain is of easy to moderate difficulty across a path of packed dirt and grass.
Why self guided? The purpose of this hike is to provide a self-paced, no pressure experience can be utilized however best works for the hiker. It is accessible from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Registration is not required, but if you would like to donate, you can access it through the program registration page.
