This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join Ranger Grant for a 1.9-mile round-trip hike to the edge of the Pogue Creek Canyon gorge to enjoy a sunset from the Pogue Creek Mesa overlook. We will be meeting at the Pogue Creek Overlook trail-head/Astronomy Field located approximately 2 miles south of Pickett State Park's office along Hwy 154 at 6:00 PM CST. From there, we will shuttle to the Mesa Top trail located on Black House Mtn Rd. The hike will be of moderate difficulty, so please wear appropriate footwear. It is recommended to bring a flashlight/headlamp as well as water with you. This hike is limited to 10 participants.
*Due to limited parking along the Mesa Top trail, we will need volunteers to help shuttle others from the Overlook trail parking area. Due to the logistics involved, the program will start promptly at 6:00, so please arrive on time.
