Saturday, May 23rd
12:00 p.m. Museum Tour/Haversack Display/Video: Meet the staff of Fort Pillow at the museum for an informative tour through the Civil War battle at Fort Pillow, as well as an interesting insight into what a soldier would have carried in his pack and view the film on Fort Pillow.
7:00p.m. Black Powder Rifle Demonstration: Meet at the Union Encampment to learn about firing Civil War Rifles.
7:30 p.m. Flag Retirement Ceremony: Join the staff of Fort Pillow. Living History Presenters, and our local Boy Scout Troop to retire old American Flags from service. We will be meeting at the museum to start this event.
Sunday, May 24th
8:00a.m.-4:00p.m. Union Encampments open to the public and programs available upon request.
8:30a.m. Morning Cannon Fire: Meet our Living History Presenters on the hill above the museum to learn about the steps in firing a Civil War Cannon.
10:00 a.m. Uniforms/Haversack Display/Flags: Meet the staff of Fort Pillow at the museum for an informative tour of the Civil War battle at Fort Pillow, as well as an interesting insight into what a soldier would have carried in his pack and view some of the flags that were used.
10:30 a.m. Morning Cannon Fire: Meet our Living History Presenters on the hill above the museum to learn about the steps in firing a Civil War Cannon.
11:00a.m. Soldier Rations: Meet SIR Chris at the museum to learn about rations in the 1860’s and today.
2:00 p.m. Life of a Civil War Soldier: Join the staff of Fort Pillow and Living History presenters on the hill above the museum to learn about day-to-day tasks and hardships that Civil War soldiers faced.
7:00 p.m. Evening Cannon Firing: Join the Fort Pillow staff at the museum to watch the Living History Presenters go through the steps of firing a Civil War Cannon.
8:00p.m. Night Hike with Living History Presenters: Meet at the Union Encampment at the museum for a hike to the restored fortification and see the new suspension bridge.
Monday, May 25th
10:00 a.m. Museum Tour/Haversack Display/Video: Meet the staff of Fort Pillow at the museum for an informative tour through the Civil War battle at Fort Pillow, as well as an interesting insight into what a soldier would have carried in his pack and view the film on Fort Pillow.
10:30 a.m. Hike to the Restored Fortification: Join Seasonal Ranger Chris at the museum to go on a 1-mile hike to the Restored Fortification where the battle of Fort Pillow took place on April 12, 1864.

2:30 p.m. Flags of the Civil War: Meet at the museum to talk about the different flags used during the Civil War.
3:00 p.m. American Flag Building: Join us at the museum to create your own American Flags in honor of Memorial Day.
