Lower River Battery Pontoon Tour
Fort Pillow State Historic Park will be offering a Lower River Battery Pontoon Tour on July 19th at 1:00p.m. The tour will last approximately 1 hour in length and all guests will be provided with an appropriately sized PFD. Guest wanting to participate in the tour will be loading from shore. Cold Creek Boat Ramp is made of concrete and could be steep at times depending on water levels. Once you reach the pontoon there will be a pontoon ramp 6' in length and 19" wide that could also be steep depending on water levels. Information pertaining to weather conditions and water levels will be advertised on the TN State Park web page www.tnstateparks.com. The tour will start at 1:00p.m. and the seating is limited so you must register online or through the park office. For more information regarding the loading and unloading from the pontoon, weather conditions, water levels, as well as tour information you can contact the Park Office at 731-738-5581.
Directions
The staff will meet all guests participating in the Lower River Battery Pontoon Tour at the Cold Creek boat ramp. From Highway 51 take Highway 87 West 15.3 miles to Crutcher Lake Rd. Then turn right and go 1.7 miles and the destination will be on your left.
