Before statehood, when Tennessee was unexplored frontier, Long Hunters ventured into the area hunting for game and living off the land. Join SIR Hannah to learn about the life of a Long Hunter and how they influenced Tennessee history!
This program is intended for ages 8+, but anyone is welcome to attend.
You will leave this program with a greater understanding of early Tennessee history and the role that Long Hunters played within it.
This program will be in a roaming discussion format. We will meet at the Park Museum and then walk to places of interest at the park. The walk will be moderate and outdoors. Make sure to bring water and outdoor appropriate attire.
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
