Join SIR Bethany in the museum for a fun nature craft and to learn more about the forests here at Cordell Hull Birthplace!
This program is recommended for ages 5+.
Leaves are a great way to learn the stories of the forest around us. We will dive into the history of lumber on this property. We will also discuss why we need trees, why their leaves come in so many shapes and sizes, and how we can identify trees by their leaves.
We will be making leaf prints by placing painted leaves under a piece of paper. We will use leaves that have fallen from around the park for this activity.
All materials will be provided by the park! We will be using paint, so please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. To prepare for this program please read the attached Essential Eligibility Criteria.
