Description: Kid's Pollinator Program
Location: Seven Islands State Birding Park
**Pre-registration is REQUIRED for this program**
Bees, butterflies, beetles, and birds—pollinators are all around us helping plants grow, bloom, and produce seeds and fruit. Join Seven Islands staff to celebrate National Pollinator Month with hands-on activities and games to learn how pollinators do their job and why they’re so important to people and wildlife. We’ll explore the park’s pollinator gardens and meadows to see pollinators in action and discover how we can help them at home!
This program is recommended for children ages 6–12 and their families. Please meet at the Bluebird Barn at 10:00 AM. Be prepared to walk approximately 1.5 miles over both paved and unpaved surfaces. The program will include a nature walk and hands-on activities.
The cost for this program is $5 per child. Parents or guardians should plan to attend and participate alongside their child.
Please bring water, sunscreen, wear good walking shoes, and dress for the weather. Please do not use bug spray if you plan to touch the insects. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
