Description: Kid's Birding Program
Location: Seven Islands State Birding Park

Get your binoculars ready and bring your curiosity—this birding adventure is just for kids! During this fun and interactive program, young birders will learn how to use binoculars, identify common birds by sight and sound, and discover what makes birds so unique. Through games, a short hike, and hands-on activities, kids will build skills and confidence to become the next generation of bird lovers and citizen scientists.
This program is recommended for children ages 6–12. Please meet at the Bluebird Barn at 8:30 AM. Be prepared to walk approximately 2 miles on both paved and unpaved trails. For more details about the route we will take, read the Essential Eligibility Criteria.
The cost of this program is $5.00 per child.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle. Binoculars will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
