Description: Kid's Birding Program: Bird Songs
Location: Seven Islands State Birding Park
***Pre-registration is required for this event.***
Have you ever wondered why birds sing or who’s singing in your backyard? Join us for a fun and interactive birding program all about bird songs! Through games, activities, and a short nature walk, we’ll explore the fascinating world of bird vocalizations and even learn to identify a few of the most common birds by their songs. Kids will gain new listening skills and a deeper appreciation for the sounds of nature.
This program is recommended for kids ages 8–12 and is part of our monthly Kid’s Birding Club. First-time participants will receive a birding journal to keep track of their sightings and discoveries!
Please meet at the Bluebird Barn. Be prepared for a short walk along a shady trail. For more details about the route we will take, read the Essential Eligibility Criteria.
The cost for this program is $5 for each participating child. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please wear comfortable shoes, bring a water bottle, and dress appropriately for the weather. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
