Description: Junior Ranger Program: Outdoor Safety

Calling all future Junior Rangers! Join us for a fun and hands-on program all about outdoor safety. We’ll cover the basics of staying safe on the trail, how to be prepared for outdoor adventures, and what to do in case of emergencies—all through games and engaging activities. This is one of four Junior Ranger programs offered throughout the summer. Complete your Junior Ranger book or attend all four programs (plants, wildlife, outdoor safety, and water safety) to earn your official Junior Ranger badge and certificate!
This program is recommended for children ages 6–14. Please meet at the Bluebird Barn at 9:30 AM. Be prepared to walk up to 2 miles on paved and natural surfaces. For more details about the route we will take, read the Essential Eligibility Criteria. The program will include a short hike and a mix of structured and hands-on learning activities.
The cost for this program is $5.00 per participant.
Please come prepared with good walking shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals. Parents or guardians must remain with children throughout the program.
