Description: Junior Ranger Camp
Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park
Calling all Junior Rangers! We are excited to announce Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park Junior Ranger Day Camp Monday June 8th – Thursday June 11th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm for kids 8-12 years old. Drop off between 8:30 am-9:00 am.
Jr. Rangers will participate in many educational programs geared towards environmental stewardship and making a positive connection with nature while having fun! Programs include Spelunking Bunkum Cave, Kayaking Wolf River, Birds & Binoculars, Tie Dying, Fire Making, Archery, Environmental Stewardship Project, Bats/Echolocation, Candle Making and many other fun outdoor programs.
*Jr. Rangers will need to bring their own lunch*
The cost of camp will cover snacks, kayaking fees, Jr. Ranger T-shirt, and all the program supplies for the week. The camp will be $50 per participant or $40 for Pickett County K-8 students.
Jr. Rangers will need to bring:
Monday: Water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, tennis shoes that can get wet, towel, & change of shoes & socks.
Tuesday: Water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, tennis shoes
Wednesday (Kayak Trip): Water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, swimsuit with clothes to cover suit to protect from sun, and shoes that can get wet.
Thursday: Water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, tennis shoes.
On Thursday, we’ll have Junior Ranger Graduation! Family, guardians, and friends are welcome to come celebrate the new Jr. Rangers.
Once signed up you will be emailed a link to CampDoc with a code to fill out all camp paper work. Paper Work is due by May 31st.
