Description: Jr. Ranger Camp - 1st Time Rangers

Location: Pickwick Landing State Park

Have you wanted to attend Junior Ranger Camp at Pickwick, but were unable to register before it was sold out? This year we have a camp just for you!

This year, we will be offering Junior Ranger Camp for 1st Time Rangers from June 3th to June 5th from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will be an evening event that the whole family can participate in! Camp will be for kids ages 8-12. The camp will follow a theme of water conservation, native flora/fauna, outdoor recreation, and safety. The cost is $65 per child and includes a camp water bottle and snacks. We will be outside at Shelter 1, so please dress for the weather and the activities of the day. 

Jr. Rangers will need to bring a sack lunch on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday campers will arrive at 6:00 pm with their families for a short graduation ceremony followed by a fun night themed activity. If cloud cover is minimal, we plan to go stargazing. If cloud cover makes it hard to view stars, we'll do a fun (and short) night hike.

Registration will be required and participation will be limited, so be sure to register early. Please register online with the parent's/guardian's email, address, phone, and name. We need all of the parent's/guardian's information before we can send the packet.

After you complete online registration and payment, you will be emailed a registration packet and a tentative daily schedule, or you can pick up a physical copy at the park office. Please complete the packet, and return it by June 1, 2026.. Complete one packet per child. Packets should be emailed to rachel.boothe@tn.gov or delivered to the Park Office. 

A finalized daily schedule will be sent to parents via the email used at registration the final week in May.
