Location: Port Royal State Historic Site

What does it mean to be superstitious? Join us as we explore the supersitions long held by people in the Red River Valley and how they shaped the world they knew.

Rangers will guide visitors by lantern around the historic townsite of Port Royal to hear the superstitious stories that have captivated people for 200 years. The tour will conclude at the historic brick Masonic Lodge and General Store, where the eigmatic Dr. Eucle invites guests to his "Curio of Curiosites" where they will investigate the mysterious and macbre origins of seemingly mudane objects.

The gates will open at 6:30 and the tour will begin at a campfire in the picnic area near the parking lot at 7:00. Visitors should expect to be walking for around one hour. This is an evening lantern guided tour, and not recommened for younger children. We ask that children attending be at least 8 years old.
