What does it mean to be superstitious? Join us as we explore the superstitions long held by people in the Red River Valley and how they shaped the world they knew.
Rangers will guide visitors by lantern around the historic townsite of Port Royal to hear the superstitious stories that have captivated people for 200 years. The tour will conclude at the historic brick Masonic Lodge and General Store, where the enigmatic Dr. Eucle invites guests to his "Curio of Curiosities" where they will investigate the mysterious and macabre origins of seemingly mundane objects.
The gates will open at 6:30 and the tour will begin at a campfire in the picnic area near the parking lot at 7:00. Visitors should expect to be walking for around one hour. This is an evening lantern guided tour, and not recommended for younger children. We ask that children attending be at least 8 years old.
Apple cider will be provided. As this is primarily an outdoor event, please dress accordingly.
