Get ready to crawl into the fascinating world of insects by learning about these amazing creatures and use what we learn as inspiration to create your own insect art.
This fun and educational program is recommended for all ages and is perfect for those interested in learning more about what makes an insect an insect and what role they play in our ecosystem. Children age 6 and under may participate with adult supervision.
Insects come in all shapes and sizes. Each insect has distinct features that make it unique. In this program we will learn about the different characteristics that some common insects have, and how we can identify these crawly critters as insects. We will also discuss how insects are important to our ecosystem. We will then head outside to collect materials like leaves, twigs, and other cool things found in nature to create our very own insect-inspired art.
