This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
This program is designed for adults and children aged 8 and above who want to begin growing simple vegetables inside their home.
We will use a technique of growing plants using a water-based nutrition solution rather than soil. You will not need electricity and only a limited amount of space for your indoor garden.
Participants can expect a brief informational talk on the history of indoor gardening and the main methods used. We will then build a simple system using mason jars to grow basil. Participants will be able to take their mason jars home to begin growing their own fresh herbs. All materials are provided for this program.
The program will be at the CCC Museum Patio, located next to the restaurant, at 3:30PM CST. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Registration deadline is May 22, 2026.
