This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
For this one mile hike we will meet at the Wilhoite Mill trailhead. Our first stop in history will be 400 million years ago at Spring Creek where you will learn about and hunt for the fossils we have here at Henry Horton State Park. Then we will travel forward in time as we hike along the A.W. Mill Trail, learning about the original grist mills that sat along the Duck River and how the park came to be.
This will be a one mile hike lasting about an hour and a half, with stops along the way. Comfortable walking sneakers are strongly recommended and bug spray is encouraged. This trail head does not have bathrooms or water fountains, so please stop into our visitor center to prepare yourself accordingly.
