Homeschool Thursday: Exploring the Stars!

Calling all young astronomers! Join us for Homeschool Thursday: Exploring the Stars, a hands-on program designed for children ages 6–12. Discover the wonders of the night sky through fun activities that make learning about constellations exciting and interactive.

Activities include:

  • Create a Constellation Viewer – Make your own tool to find stars in the night sky
  • Build Constellations – Learn how stars form patterns and map them yourself
  • Constellation Sweet Treat – A tasty way to explore the shapes of the stars using pretzels and marshmellows.

Program Details:

  • Registration Required – Space is limited to 15 homeschoolers
  • Accompaniment – Homeschoolers must be with an adult

Academic Standard used for grade 5: 5.ESS1.6 – Constellations and Seasonal Movement

This program is a perfect way for homeschool families to engage in science, astronomy, and creative learning together. Spaces are limited, so register your homeschoolers today!

Cost is for supplies. Children will take home a constellation viewer.
