This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join Interpreter Hannah for an exploration of the Duck River and how amazing river ecosystems are during this Homeschool Thursday session. Some of the topics that will be discussed are water quality, macroinvertebrates in the water, and river ecosystems.
It will begin at 2PM at shelter 2 on the day use side of the park. This program will end at Noon. There will be multiple topics and activities during this time period. It is $5 per homeschooler. Registration is REQUIRED. Homeschoolers need to have an adult with them throughout this program. Program content will be targeted towards 1st-5th grade standards, but all students are welcome!
One of the activities is going to be a short walk along the river. Make sure they dress appropriately for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water.
