This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join Interpretive Ranger Amanda at the campfire interpretive area for a journey to North Carolina! We will embark on a day hike down the flint creek trail and make our way up to the Appalachian access trail and onto the AT itself and to just over the state line to North Carolina before turning back. The hike is moderate, about 3.5-mile one way, with roughly a 600ft elevation gain overall. The total distance will be about 7 miles and end where we began. We will stop to discuss plants and wildlife along the way for appropriate rest periods in between. Pack a light lunch to enjoy if you wish! Bring appropriate footwear for hiking, water, snacks and rain gear… Just in case!
