This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Hidden Lake Night Hike and History Tour

Location: Harpeth River State Park

Bring your flashlight and join Rangers Bill Morton and Sydni Dollar for this very special opportunity to explore the historical Hidden Lake after dark. Our 3 mile hike will include a variety of interesting topics. We will learn about the nocturnal animals who call this area home. Then we will take a step back in time to discuss the history of the park, including the quarry and the resort that was teeming with activity in the 1930’s. Our trip will end with light refreshments by lantern light on the dance floor where patrons once danced the night away to big band tunes.

This program is for adults and mature teens only. The hike requires participants to navigate hills and rugged terrain in the dark. Before registering, please consider your abilities to complete this hike in a timely manner. If the program is cancelled due to rain, refunds will be issued.
