This 1-mile, Ranger-led kayak float, will take approximately an hour to complete. Guests should look forward to listening to some Appalachian cryptid folklore while we enjoy our evening paddle.
Be prepared to paddle upstream against a slow-moving current. It may be wise to bring shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a little wet.
Guests should plan to arrive at the overflow parking lot by 6:15 p.m. located right off Joe Alder Road on park grounds (location pinned in google map link). We will then meet y'all at the put-in location where we will begin and end our float. There will be signs to guide you to the parking location and put-in.
Registration spots represent the kayaks we have available, so sign up while you can! If you plan on bringing your own kayak/canoe and the registration is full, reach out to the email linked or call the park office at 423-259-4339, and we can add you to our roster.
This program is recommended for participants ages 12+. Any participant under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
Registration is required!
