This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Come learn about the importance of bats to cave ecosystems. We will be making a hanging bat craft out of recycled toilet paper rolls, while discussing species of bats that live in Bunkum cave and their importance.
This program is recommended for anyone 7 years or older that is interested in learning more about bats and how they interact within their ecosystem. Kids 6 years and younger may participate with adult supervision.
Bats play a major role in our ecosystem, from controlling insect populations, pollinating plants, and dispersing seeds, their conservation is crucial to a healthy and biodiverse ecosystem.
During this program we will discuss the positive impacts of bats and create a bat friend that you can take home.
This event will take place in the park’s museum. All supplies will be provided by the park. To prepare for this program please read the attached Essential Eligibility Criteria.
In the event of inclement weather this program will be cancelled.
