Description: Guided Greenway Hike: 1.3 Miles (10 AM)
Location: Henry Horton State Park
Join interpretive specialist Hannah for a walk along the day-use side of the park. This trail will take you across the day-use area, by some of our native grasslands, The Duck River, and some of the historically significant sites on the park. This is a excellent hike to help introduce guests to Henry Horton and everything it has to offer.
Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. The trail is 1.4 miles on paved terrain.
This is a excellent hike for guests with mobility restrictions. Please see the essential eligibility criteria for more information on accessibility. The trail chair is available for use on this hike. Please contact our visitor's center to reserve the trail chair.
Please be aware of construction happening on our park that may affect park entrances, exits, and parking along the day-use side of the park. Guests visiting the Visitor Center, Restaurant, Cabins, Shelters, and Conference Hall should expect modified traffic flow. Please follow the clearly marked DETOUR signs around our park to navigate the new day-use area traffic flow. For concerns about accessing programs or for specific directions, please reach out to the program host at the listed contact information. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
