Join park staff to create pinecone bird feeders and observe which bird species we can attract! Participants will first meet at the Park Office to make their own pinecone bird feeders. Afterwards, we will be walking to a separate location, hanging up our bird feeders, and observing how many bird species we can find! All participants will receive supplies to make one pinecone feeder as well as a special data sheet to record your observations.
NOTE: This program involves using peanut butter. If you or someone else in your group have a nut allergy, please contact the program leader for alternative supplies.
This program is part of Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend and is designed to go along with the Daisy Design with Nature Badge.
