Join park staff at the Park Office to discuss some of the plants, animals, and insects that have existed here since prehistoric times with little change. From birds of prey to honey locust to ancient ferns and mosses, these living fossils offer a glimpse of what our world was like long before humans existed. Learn how these prehistoric survivors can still be found today here at the park, and what they can reveal about the history of life on earth. We will visit the snakes and raptors and talk about their place in the living fossil timeline.
