This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
**Pre-registration is required for this program.**
The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual community science event that encourages people to get out to identify and count birds all around the world on February 16th-19st. We will hike approximately 3 miles and keep a list of all the birds we see along the way. You will learn the basics of birding, including tips for identification, bird songs, and the best tools and resources for beginning birders.
Come prepared with good walking shoes, water, field guides (optional), and binoculars. We will have some binoculars available to for participants to borrow. Participants should meet Ranger Clare at the Bluebird Barn by the main entrance at 8:30am.
Please contact Ranger Clare at clare.dattilo@tn.gov with any questions.
This is a free program, but please consider making a donation to the park.
