PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Ghost Stories of the Upper Cumberland: Night Hike

Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park

Cordell Hull was born in what is now Byrdstown in 1871. By then, the Upper Cumberland had already developed a rich oral history full of Civil War stories, tall tales, and even accounts of paranormal events. Join SIR Hannah Z to hear some of these stories that people passed down before and during Cordell Hull's time while hiking Bunkum Cave Loop Trail.

This program is intended for ages 13+. Any child under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

You will leave this program with a greater understanding of the regional folklore of the Upper Cumberland and the cultural background to Cordell Hull's life.

This hike will be around 1.75 miles, including slight inclines and stairs. Please bring a source of water and appropriate hiking gear. Light sources will be provided by the park.

Please read the Essential Eligibility Criteria to better prepare for the program.

In the case of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
