Description: Furs and Pelts of the Longhunter

Location: Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park

Ever wonder why currency is often referred to as “bucks”? How did Buffalo Mountain get it’s name? Join Ranger Jason Davis to discover first hand the various types of furs and pelts sought after by long hunters on the frontier during the 18th century. All ages are welcome to attend this free program in the Visitor Center lobby.
