We're sorry. This event is no longer available, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Starting this May and running through August, Park Ranger Ethan will be leading full moon kayaking trips on Fort Patrick Henry Reservoir. The goal will be to paddle the shorelines of the lake while observing the full moon as it climbs over the ridgelines of the park. During the trip we will discuss the flora, fauna, folklore, and folklife that exist under the night skies of Warriors Path and Southern Appalachia in general.
Equipment is provided by the park.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to get suited up.
You are welcome to bring your own lifejacket, but it must get park ranger approval before the trip begins.
No fishing poles or coolers on this trip.
Program is subject to cancelation due to inclement weather. In the event that the program is canceled you will be notified by a staff member.
