Description: Frontier Justice: Trials & Tribulations in Early Tennessee (Sold Out)

Location: David Crockett Birthplace State Park

The 18th century was a rough time on the frontier. As settlers were moving west to start a new life, the one thing that needed to be in place for a fresh start was law and order. At times, this proved difficult to maintain. Join Ranger Jonathan Chinouth at the Christopher Taylor House as he lectures of the trials and tribulations of the frontier. You'll learn how law was practiced and judgments handed down. You'll see how pivotal characters, like Andrew Jackson, performed his lawful duties in Washington County at this time. And you'll notice a link with the Crockett family to the judicial system for good or for bad. You be the judge.
