Bring in the New Year with a hike down Azaela Springs Day Loop guided by BHP Rangers. Guests will be emersed in the beauty of hardwood forests, rolling hills, and the Dismal Swamp of Big Hill Pond.
Terrain is moderate difficulty, and the trail is approximately 3 miles in length. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and dress for the weather. Meet the Ranger at the Azaela Springs Day Loop Trail Head parking lot. Maps are available at the kiosk located in front of the park office or online.
Directions: Enter park through main park entrance. Continue down John Howell Road past the park office. About two miles down, the road will Y off - Keep Right. Take the next right at the four stone pillars and you will dead end at the trail head.
