Start the new year on the right foot—literally! Join us for a refreshing 1-mile hike around beautiful Byrd Lake as we welcome the year ahead with nature, movement, and mindfulness.
This paved, ADA-accessible trail meanders around the lake, offering stunning views of our historic seven-arch dam and the serene landscape of the Cumberland Plateau. Breathe in the crisp winter air, listen to the soothing sounds of nature, and take in the scenic beauty all around you. What better way to begin the year than with clear thoughts, renewed energy, and a sense of accomplishment?
We’ll meet at the park office at 10:00 AM. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Wheelchairs, strollers and leashed pets are welcome to join the fun!
