Join Ranger Graham at Roan Mountain State Park for a guided walk exploring the vibrant wildflowers and native plants of Appalachia. Learn how to identify common spring blooms, understand their ecological importance, and discover how botanists use observation and preservation techniques to study plant life.
Participants will gain hands-on experience learning key plant identification traits and will have the opportunity to create pressed flower specimens to take home while learning about the historical practice of botanical pressing and preservation.
