Discover the hidden life of Appalachian waterways with Ranger Graham at Roan Mountain State Park as we explore the fish species that inhabit mountain streams and freshwater ecosystems.
Participants will learn fish identification, habitat preferences, and how aquatic life can indicate stream health. Guests will also participate in a hands-on Japanese fish printing activity, known as Gyotaku, a historic art form once used by fishermen to record their catches.
