This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Pre-registration is required for this event.
Join our park biologist in the Bluebird Barn for a deep dive into the puzzling plumage of fall warblers! Through vivid images and side-by-side comparisons, you’ll learn how to tell apart commonly confused species and sharpen your bird ID skills just in time for migration season. Why does this matter? Many warblers lose their bright breeding colors in the fall, making them one of the trickiest groups for birders—this program will give you the confidence to enjoy the challenge rather than dread it. After the indoor presentation, we’ll head out for a short walk along Kelly Lane to spot these feathered travelers in action.
Please meet at the Bluebird Barn at 8:00 AM. Be prepared to walk about 1 mile over both paved and unpaved surfaces. For more details about the route we will take, read the Essential Eligibility Criteria.
The cost of this program is $8 per participant. Children under 5 are free with a paying adult.
Please come prepared with good walking shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
