This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Enjoy the falling leaves and cool weather with a guided bird walk at the Head of the Sequatchie!
Join seasonal interpretive ranger Cameron to learn about fall bird migration along the Cumberland Trail. We will explore the trails at the Head of Sequatchie in search of migrants making their way through the valley and discuss why birds migrate during the fall. This program is great for beginner birders but all experience levels are welcome!
Participants can expect to hike around ~1 mile on a mix of paved areas and uneven trail with periodic stops along the route.
Bring binoculars if you have them or borrow limited pairs available here at the park. Come prepared with adequate walking shoes and water.
We will meet for the program at 9:00 A.M. CST at the Head of Sequatchie visitors center.
